Many Ways to Process Flow-Through Costs

Customer Purchase

  • There is no cost to the vendor or event organizers
  • Cups or containers are purchased with a deposit at a booth
  • Attendees get a refund (minus washing fee) when they return them
No up-front cost to vendors

Vendor Purchase

  • Vendor purchases inventory paying a 50% downpayment on inventory. Event guarantees stock return.
  • Cups are tracked with a QR code unique to each vendor.
  • Earthware reconciles by scanning each QR code, a washing charge for each container is charged, lost/unreturned items are charged a fee.

Flow-Through Purchase

  • Vendor orders inventory secured on credit card
  • Vendor charges attendee deposit through POS system
  • Cups are tracked with a QR code unique to each vendor
  • Attendees scan the QR cup and enter their phone # for a refund (minus washing fee) upon return
  • Earthware charges vendors for cups used, minus returned, unopened & opened cases (Containers from opened cases will be charged a fee per container to wash as directed by the AHS)

How it Works

Closed Loop Systems

Attendees pay a deposit and are refunded when they are done. Because they are worth something, they don’t end up in the garbage.

True Sustainability

Single-use is still single-use, regardless of whether they are plastic or “theoretically” compostable. Reuse programs are the only truly sustainable, measurable eco-friendly option that works.

Cup/Container Selection

We have a variety of sizes of cups and containers for your event that will suit all your vendors’ needs.

Reporting

We’ll provide reporting on containers saved from the landfill, % returned and environmental impact stats so you can share the good news with your community and attendees!
